Welcome to the Rockford Photo Club - it is a new year - 2013. This last year, 2012, was a great year for our photo club. We had many exciting events from the RAM display to the seminar and photo shoot with world famous photographer Bryan Peterson. The club saw it's first Lifetime Achievement Award awarded to club member Al Westman and now, amidst the many changes in the photography world, the club is making some exciting changes itself realizing that all photographers, either professional or amateur, are different, they see things differently and their photography styles are all unique. The club has been around since 1947 and since then, they have been helping members improve their photography, as well as enhance their photography. In addition, we sponsor club displays, contests, field trips, workshops and programs. The objective of the Rockford Photo Club is to improve our photography and to appreciate photography as an art.
The Rockford Photo Club generally holds it's meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m. We currently meet in the lower level meeting room of the Riverfront Museum Park Building, 711 North Main Street, Rockford. We welcome visitors as well as new members. Come and check us out!
